It all started when…

my husband looked at me from across the couch one evening and said, "honey I want to start my own business and grow my social media." SILENCE.

Hold the phone my friends! I just about passed over on the couch when those few words exited my husband mouth. Since when did he know the word "social media" AND since when did my husband ever want to put effort into the social platforms. I may be exaggerating a bit but I was incredibly mind blown and excited for him.

Since that evening on the couch, I've had the opportunity to learn more about the process of helping others start their own businesses. There's so many branches in business startup but I hope that we can start to untangle the mess and cut a clear path of success together. So, let's dive in...

Business Tips

So you want to start business and you're not sure where to start...

I have one major tip to share and it may be nothing of what you're expecting. Don't under estimate the power of this tip though because it plays a major role in those who rise or fall. Here's the big tip...

You reap what you sow.

That's it. Seems very odd, right? Maybe that's not the technical tip you were looking for but let me tell you something mclovin's... it's just as vital as any other "first step". Now, there's a bit more supporting factors that come into play with this but for now, you have to take yourself serious.

If you really want your business to take off and succeed, you have to know that your business will only be as great as the person putting the effort in. I've seen many individuals try and start a business only for it to fall flat. There's a mental switch that you have to turn on before starting a business. Are you just wanting a hobby, in which hobbies don't make money, or are you wanting to start a business, in which businesses make money. For me, I like a little extra dough in the bank.

So, let's get one thing straight: you've come here to learn about business. That's one sign that you have the interest in starting something great. To start something great you have to start taking yourself serious. In the upcoming weeks and months, I will be sharing more steps and things I've learned along the way in my two businesses. I hope you come back to untangle more steps and grow with me.

Homework: Ask yourself the following: "Will I be able to put all my efforts into this interest (that I want to turn into a business) whole heartedly?"

Breakdown: Do you just want to do something fun on the side, throw out some cute photos, meander around OR do you want to grow something profitable? One of these options is going to require a lot more work than the other so I hope you're ready to reap what you sow! It's a mental game as much as a hustle game.
